Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is believed to have begun in Tibet several thousand years ago. Seers in the Orient studied energies and developed a system for universal healing energies.
There are many forms of Reiki being practiced now. The Usui System balances and strengthens the body’s energy, promoting its ability to heal itself. This is the system that we practice.
The word “Reiki” is made of two parts. “Rei” means “universal” which is referring to the spiritual dimension, to the soul and the creative force in the universe. “Ki” means life-force energy, that which flows through all things and keeps them alive and functioning.
Reiki refers to the universal life-force energy. This energy can naturally flow through us. A practitioner is attuned to the energy so that they might heal themselves and others. Reiki is often performed with the hands of the practitioner in contact with the patient but it is just as effective when sent at a distance by using a particular method.
Reiki is extremely helpful for any physical, emotional, mental or spiritual concerns. It can also be directed toward a life situation, object or environment, animal or plant.
Reiki energy therapy is a good compliment to other therapies and medical technologies as it can work to enhance and support them. It should be noted that Reiki is not intended to diagnose or cure any medical problems.
Energy healing sessions are not intended to replace medical treatment or prescribed medication but to work in conjunction with it.
